Be part of a broader global movement to uplift women! This year's International Women's Day theme resonates deeply with AIDHA's mission to empower women through financial education. Empower Her Journey campaign calls on all of us to honour the journeys of migrant domestic workers towards a better future, and to take action to help them move forward towards financial independence. Empowering their journey goes beyond providing a livelihood in Singapore. It is about ensuring they have the tools, resources, and inspiration to achieve the economic success they strive for.

Each year, thousands of migrant domestic workers - mothers, wives, sisters and daughters–leave their loved ones back home and embark on a long journey to find a better future for themselves and their families. In their roles as caregivers, cooks, cleaners, and companions to our children and loved ones, they enable our families to thrive. Their own road to a better life however is often encumbered by pressures and barriers that limit their ability to save, plan and invest in their future. Their hopes are as diverse as their journeys. For many, it is about educating their children. Some wish to support a family while pursuing a dream or a talent. And for others, it is about starting a business.

As little as $25 (the price of a cafe brunch) is equivalent to the cost of providing course materials for one student, while $500 covers the full cost of delivering a course to one student. Let’s get together to remove the barriers holding back these incredible women and help them achieve their dreams

#AccelerateAction with Aidha! Here’s how each dollar donated to the Empower Her Journey campaign accelerates action for MDWs:

- Keeps our courses affordable and free for migrant domestic workers, helping them take control of their finances, while building confidence, communication skills and basic computer skills

- Helps more migrant domestic workers learn to deal with financial pressures from family, while avoiding debt and loan sharks

- Supports our financial education programmes in native languages, starting with Bahasa Indonesia

- Drives the future opening of Aidha’s learning centres across the island to better serve migrant domestic workers, and our plans to launch digital skills training
