Give Helper Yuli A Chance To Recover

Please give a hand to our helper who’s like a family to us

Yuli, our helper who had been with us for the past 12 years. She is diagnosed with a brain tumor and required immediate medical attention. She’s the sole bread winner of her family, with the responsibility to take care of her aging parents and 3 young children back in Indonesia.
It happened on the first day of the lunar new year. My family found Yuli on the bed looking very drowsy. They also noticed that she took panadol (saw the package that she left on the table). They tried waking her up to check on her and noticed she wasn't really responding. Sensing that there might be something off with her, immediately we arranged for an ambulance to send her to the hospital.
By the time the paramedics came, she was in a semi unconscious state, drifting in and out of consciousness. They gave her a drip before transferring to the hospital. At A&E, they did the blood work and couldn't find any cause of her condition. She was all fit and well the day before.

Eventually they decide to do a full body scan and this is when they found out that there was abscess in her right brain. The detailed scan showed that it was a tumor, accompanied by a lot of swelling around the tumor. She was then scheduled for an emergency neurosurgery to remove the tumor, otherwise she would risk going into seizure, stroke or death.
Thankfully the surgery went well. She will be reviewed by the rehabilitation team to assess what's are the next course of action for her case. She would need to go through further scan to ensure that all the tumors were removed and that blood supply to the brain and pressure remain normal.

Her road to recovery has just begun. Her functions are impacted, especially her left arm, post surgery, doctors mentioned rehabilitation will be required to help regain motor functions.
With limited medical coverage from insurance, the medical bill is too huge to be bore by our family. We hope to fund raise for her medical bill as well as further rehabilitation cost.

All funds raised will be managed by Give.asia and pay directly to the hospital. Please give us a hand to help Yuli recover!
