After the doctors checked on her, it was revealed to us that Misato had preterm premature rupture of membranes, and she needs to be hospitalised under close supervision 24/7 for her safety as well as for the baby.
Preterm premature rupture of the membranes (PPROM) is a pregnancy complication. In this condition, the sac (amniotic membrane) surrounding your baby breaks (ruptures) before week 37 of pregnancy. Once the sac breaks, you have an increased risk for infection. You also have a higher chance of having your baby born early.

Both Misato and myself had been living in Singapore since 2010 and we love this country very much.
I'm holding a Work Permit while Misato is holding a dependent pass, and foreigners in Singapore, we always purchase health insurance for self protection.
However, we found out it does not cover pregnancy related unless very tragic scenario, which I will never let it happen.

シンガポールで第二子妊娠中（27週）の妻が2022年7月9日未明に前期破水の症状で緊急入院しました。
検査の結果、1mm開いているため、出産まで絶対安静となり、最低でもあと７週間後の34週までお腹に中にいてくれるように即入院、２４時間モニターの中、治療をすることになりました。
現在はおなかの中の子を守るために、様々な抗生物質の投与、点滴、血液検査などを毎日行い、１日でも長くおなかの中で育つことを目指して入院しております。
最低でも５０日の入院で8万ドル（900万円）、また、早く産まれてしまった場合の乳児の治療などで26万シンガポールドル（2400万円ほど）かかるという見積が出ました。
2010年にシンガポールに移住して以来、我々は外国人ですから、医療保険にはしっかりと入っておりました。 しかしながら、今回は妊娠関係の治療ということで保険適用ができない見込みが高いという事がわかりました。
※最悪なケースにおいては適用されますが、絶対に起こさせません。
そして、保険が効かない今、多額の医療費に直面することになりました。
美里と産まれてくる命のために、募金活動を始めることにしました。
とにかく、今は母子共に健康に過ごし、何事も起こらず、34週までの50日間を乗り越えることが目標です。
