Help Simba8 the Cat Smile Again!

When we found Simba8 (This is the name we gave him), he was sitting quietly in a corner the bush and one of his eyes had cataract. He did not move and looked like he was in pain and visually dehydrated. We try to give him food and water but he did not want any of it.

We managed to cox him into a carrier after 4 hours.

With the help of 2 of our friends who love cats, Simba8 was brought to a vet in Mount Pleasant East Coast. The initial diagnosis was devastating.

1. His swollen face confirmed a fractured jaw that was put together from a past surgery that left a metal implant.
2. The removal of the metal implant is overdue and so it is now forcing its way out and that's causing him pain and swelling from infection.
3. He has fleas and fur mites with a bad skin infection.
4. Simba8 is also not eating and drinking, likely due to the pain.

The vet at Mount Pleasant East Coast referred Simba8 directly to Mount Pleasant Jalan Gelanggang immediately for further treatment, and hopefully to get the metal implant out as soon as possible to relief his pain.

The metal implant was removed from SIMBA8 without needing to add extra metal plates to hold the jaws together. The surgery was a great success without any complications and Simba8 is now resting in the hospital.

Simba8 is also looking much hydrated after IV-drips and tube feeding. Currently, he is still not eating and drinking on his own which is worrying.

We need help to cover the cost of the surgery and hospitalisation while Simba8 is recovering. He will need to be self-dependant before he is allowed to be discharged from the hospital. We do not know how long it will take but we are confident that Simba8 will be strong and will come out of this a happy cat with all your support and love.
