Help fund marginalised women in floristry skills training

Many of us travel and help the needy abroad, but what about the needy here in Singapore?

Founder Hazel Kweh started BloomBack to empower her sister Faith, who is one of the over 40,000 marginalised women in Singapore. Having born with a hearing disability and being diagnosed with a degenerative eye disease 10 years ago, Faith struggled to find employment and faced many hurdles in life. Thousands of other women who lack the skillset and support, face the same challenges and are unable to support themselves, let alone their children.
BloomBack partners with beneficiaries like Daughters of Tomorrow, to empower these marginalised ladies through a holistic training program that includes equipping them with floristry and entrepreneurship skills. This not only improves their employment opportunities, but also helps them rediscover their self worth, integrating them into society.
On the side, we also advocate a floral movement that maximises the value of flowers to its fullest potential. We repurpose used flowers from wedding events by repackaging and distributing them to plant smiles to the marginalised communities!
WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP
BloomBack is a self funded and start up social enterprise, and we want to help as many women in need as we can! We have trained 5 women since June, and 4 of them have gained flexible job opportunities. These women want to be independent and we strongly believe in helping them to help themselves through education and training. YOU CAN HELP US SUPPORT MORE LADIES AND THEIR FAMILY WITH YOUR DONATIONS!
Being a start up, we had to kindly reject the flowers of many donors as we lack the funds to cover the expenses required for the movement (e.g. transport fee). Which is why every dollar donated will go to not just funding the training programs for the marginalised ladies from daughters of tomorrow and other beneficiaries, BUT ALSO the movement to bring smiles to beneficiaries with repurposed flowers. A little goes a long way, you can help us plant more smiles on the faces of those who think they are forgotten or not cared for :)
About BloomBack BloomBack is a social enterprise that unites humanity through flowers. We empower marginalised women, who often struggle to find employment in our fast-paced society due to their limited skillset and qualification.
A one-stop online floral marketplace, we bring together a curated list of big-hearted florists to provide consumers a complete suite of floral products and services (not limited to fresh, dried, and preserved flowers). More than that, we are an engaged community that supports one another! Our repurpose flower movement that engages volunteers from all walks of life bring smiles to lonely old folks, hospice patients, and other beneficiaries who could use a boost in spirits.
