Have you ever lost someone dear to you, and wished you could spend those last sweet moments with them?
8 out of 10 Singaporeans would prefer to stay in their own homes when they age.
For loved ones with terminal illnesses, this is never a trivial task. It is a great struggle for caregiving families to provide care around the clock, because of a shortage of time, energy and nursing skills.
Most of the time, families of those spending their last days at home do not know how to care for them. Bewildered, lost, and often feeling guilty makes it very difficult for them to give their fading family member the type of love and serenity they truly desire to give.
Can you imagine trying to spend such quality time with a loved one while juggling all these care needs?
This is where professional support from nurses at home is key. But many families cannot afford it.
That's why we started Project Going Home. We need YOUR help to make going home a wish come true for these underprivileged terminally ill patients and families.
With your help, Jaga-me will be able to provide professional home nursing care to 20 needy patients in their last days. Only then, the family can focus on loving one another and have their last sweet moments together. We make sure to only have licensed and local nurses to provide this specialised care.
IF YOU DONATE NOW, SINGTEL WILL MATCH YOUR CONTRIBUTION! (Up to S$10,000)
Singtel has kindly offered to match the amount you donate! For every dollar you give, your contribution doubles. So take this rare opportunity to make a greater impact, providing end-of-life home care to 20 needy patients instead of 10. Extend this precious gift of peace and comfort to someone who needs it now.
Our campaign target is $20,000 - so that means that if we gather 100 people to donate $100 each, we can reach this goal with Singtel's help! 100% of funds raised go to provide professional home nursing care for these families.
How we will achieve this
Jaga-Me is working with the largest home hospice provider in Singapore, HCA Hospice Care, to provide free nursing respite care to needy beneficiaries under their care. Together with our friends at HCA, Jaga-Me has already been supporting dozens of families who are caring for loved ones with life-limiting conditions- and your donation will help us to do even more.
The patients will start to receive care from 1st May onwards and we hope to provide all of them with Jaga-Me home care pros by having a successful fundraiser. This is only possible through your donations and kindness.
