Our beautiful baby Daphne was born on 8/8/15 and has never been home. She moves from one hospital to another and from intensive care unit to operation room in search for the cure of her illness. Doctors have said that she suffered from a mega bladder (abnormally large bladder) and Hydronephrosis (swelling of the kidney) since she was in the womb. Since her birth, she has suffered several other complications; the inability to digest, the inability to pass motions, adhesion, malrotation, volvulus in the intestines and a blood clot in her heart that caused severe infection and swelling from her shoulders to her head.

To date, she has undergone 4 surgeries, 3 of which were done at National University Hospital (NUH) in Singapore. We still do not have a clear sign or when or how she will recover. This is the rare case and doctors are still trying to figure it out. They say they have never seen anything like this before.

A month after the 3rd surgery, she was able to pass motion and the doctors started to feed her gradually. But sadly there was another complication; she vomited every time she was fed. Because of this she had her 4th surgery in order to tighten her oesophagus and install 2 tubes in her tummy (1 tube directly goes to small intestine for feeding, and another tube goes directly to her stomach to remove any excess fluids in the body).

Due to these complications, both my husband and I have given up our full time jobs to be by her side. Now we're concerned about how we can settle the medical expenses which are building up every day. Her digestion issue & the adhesions in her small intestines haven't recovered so she has to fast. She also needs blood thinner injections twice a day for 6-12 months to prevent clots in her veins.
Thank you for your time reading my message.

We keep praying for Daphne's health and are turning to you for help. With your love and support and donations, we hope to get the treatment she needs to get her home.
