On June 10, 2017, my cousin Corazon Diwas was found unconscious at a comfort room while on vacation in Singapore. She was rushed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital and an emergency decompressive craniectomy and insertion of intracranial pressure monitor was performed due to middle and posterior cranial artery infarct. The next day, she underwent another surgery which was left temporal and frontal lobectomy. She was intubated for 6 days and on June 16/17, she had undergone tracheostomy to promote airway support.

Her brother, together with his wife from the Philippines, left their child with their widowed mother to follow her with just mere amount to sustain them for days. With her ongoing treatment and long journey towards recovery, enormous amount of expenses are piling up.

As much as we would like to bring home our cousin to our home country where we have affordable healthcare, and where relatives are around, we humbly ask for your help to raise funds for her medical evacuation to the Philippines. Surely, she needs us by her side. Thank you in advance and may God bless you thousandfold!

She has been finally transferred to a hospital in Manila, Philippines on June 30, 2017. She is now confined in Manila Adventist Medical Center (PH), where doctors are still continuously monitoring her progress and healing.

We are immensely grateful to Tan Tock Seng Hospital for taking care of her, and for valuing saving a life before anything else. She was permitted to go back to the Philippines, but we are in need of around SGD 74,000 (around USD 53,700 or PHP 2.7 Million) to pay for her medical expenses.

Again, we thank everyone for the flowing support and prayers for her healing.
