Hi, as some of you know, Lawrence's elder kid has been diagnosed cancer recently.  This is a plea for your help to subsidize the high medical costs that Aiden will need to treat the cancer.

Aiden was diagnosed with Stage 4 Rhabdomyosarcoma cancer in the middle of Feb.  He was only slightly older than 2 years of age when Lawrence and Isabelle found out that Aiden was stricken with cancer.  I will never be able to explain how sad that can be for Lawrence and Isabelle, but it has been really hard on the family since the birth of their 2nd child Caiden just 6 months ago, who was diagnosed with microtia, an ear deformity and will also need medical intervention.  While still coping with tiredness and sleepless nights, this bad news daunted upon them.

It all started with an abdominal pain that didn't go away, and when the doctor decides to do a MRI, they found the lump in the stomach as well as cancer cells spreading to the back of the body.  Little Aiden has to be put on chemotherapy right away and this course of treatment will go on for the next 6 months.  Surgery will then follow to remove the remnants of the tumor and radiotherapy thereafter to reach areas not possible with surgery.  During this period of intensive treatment and given Aiden's young age, one parent will need to look after him full time which would mean one income may need to be sacrificed during this difficult period.

Aiden is reacting well to the chemotherapy after 2 sessions, the tumor has reduced from 8cm to 5cm.

While treatment is ongoing, Lawrence and Isabelle attended a financial counselling session with the hospital and found out that the bill will ring up a sum of about S$125,000 or even more if further treatment is required beyond the current program.  Unfortunately, they did not purchase insurance for the child and would have to bare most of the costs.

I know it is a lot to ask, but I am hoping that friends and co-workers who know Lawrence and Isabelle can help to defray the high medical costs to treat Aiden.  Anything you can give will mean the world to this young family.

Thank you in advance for your support and kindness extended to Lawrence and Isabelle.
